Chris' Base BBQ Sauce

1 ounce = 2 Tbsp 1 Tbsp = 3 tsp. 1 quart = 4 cups
- 2.5 quarts water
- 2 cups ketchup
- 2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 3.5 oz white sugar
- 3.5 oz brown sugar
- 1 tsp black pepper (pepper to taste)
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper (2 Tbsp if making hot sauce)
- 1 Tbsp Salt (salt to taste)
- Pinch of chili powder
- Pinch of onion powder
- Splash of Worcestershire sauce
Bring to a boil, then simmer for a bit stirring occasionally.
Pour liberally over freshly chopped or pulled pork, poultry, or beef.
