Ever wonder about the stock market scenes in movies like the ones in trading places?
A large group of people are gathered around yelling buy or sell. Then when its all over every one throws their slips of paper on the floor. How could anyone keep track of that? Along the same lines gambling on the street. Two guys are going to fight, up pops the bookie taking money and yelling odds. Then the fight is over and by magic all records are correct. I can't get a lunch order right.
