What would the earth do with out us?

Can we really destroy the earth? What if we spilled a whole tanker of oil in the ocean, will the earth recover? What if we burned half a national park?

These things have effects but do they last? Recently a pyramid was found in south America, it is believed to be larger than the great pyramids. The jungle had consumed it, it was not visible from the air or ground. Ever notice an empty lot or an abandon golf course and what it looks like after five or ten years with no maintenance? Trees, weeds, grasses, bushes they grow and nobody planted them. Or did they? The wind blew , A bird craped and a man walked through as a short cut. If man was not here who would fight the forest fires? What ever we build is just one hurricane, earth quake , tornado ,flood or lighting strike away from being whipped of  the face of the earth. The earth is constantly changing and I believe it is arrogant to think, we as people can destroy what God has made.
